My First Book
When Moo Press asked me to illustrate Pirate’s Alphabet, my first reaction was, WOOHOO! Then I realized that other than “playing pirate” as a kid I didn’t know very much about pirates, so I had a lot of research to do. I decided to share some of the behind-the-scenes information about this project here on my Web site. I’ve included some of the interesting things I learned about pirates while doing research, how I went from the writers words to the completed illustrations and a few things just for fun.
